Make this a country rap song From early childhood, we are shaped by the “rules” imprinted upon us—beliefs, values, and expectations that become hardwired by around age seven. The Church has long observed: “Give me a child until he is seven, and I will show you the man.” After that, we begin to write our own story, but the path is heavily influenced by this early programming. These rules go by many names: laws of nature (unchanging), laws of man (malleable), competition, social norms, or simply “the game.” In sports like baseball or football, we must accept the fixed rules. But in life—relationships, business, family, friendships, and work—there are often hidden, unacknowledged rules that most people blindly follow. Great coaches and masters of any field win not necessarily by being the strongest or fastest, but by understanding the rules better than anyone else. As Einstein implied: you don’t have to be the best player—you just have to play better than everyone else. Your peace depends not just on the field or the players, but on how you see the game itself. You have a profound choice: accept the rules others have designed (and find peace within their limits), or rewrite the rules and invite others to play by yours. We are taught to conform and play the predefined game, but we are powerful enough, wise enough, and knowledgeable enough to design our own. In life’s game, there are no true winners and losers—only those who find peace and those who fight as if victory over others matters. The equipment for this game is mostly non-physical: imagination, mindset, resilience, persistence, patience, compassion, confident communication, and conviction. These are the true tools of power. As adults, we have no excuse not to access the knowledge and wisdom needed to play on our terms. Life is a game with three clear options: struggle against the rules, accept them, or change them. Choose your “team”—your influences, relationships, and beliefs—wisely, for their rules will shape yours. Reprogram your mind to see life this way, and play the game you truly want.
Lyrics
From early childhood, they lay the tracks, rules imprinted, can't turn back
Beliefs and values deep in the cracks, by age seven, man, it’s a fact
Church said "Give me a child till he’s seven,
I'll show you the man walkin’ the seven heavens."
But after that, we start to write our own story,
Paths influenced, in all their glory.
Rules got many names, laws of man and nature,
Competition’s hard, but life’s a different creature.
Sports got set rules, baseball to football,
Life’s hidden codes most never recall.
Great coaches win by knowin’ the game,
Einstein said, "Play better, earn your fame."
Peace ain't just on the field or in the crowd,
It’s how you see the game, stand out and be proud.
Choose to accept or rewrite the rules,
Be the master, not just a one of the fools.
We’re taught to conform, play by their design,
But we got power, wisdom, a mind that shines.
No clear winners or losers in this fight,
Just those who find peace or those who fight the night.
Peace ain't just on the field or in the crowd,
It’s how you see the game, stand out and be proud.
Choose to accept or rewrite the rules,
Be the master, not just a one of the fools.
Tools ain’t physical, imagination’s fire,
Mindset, resilience take you higher.
Patience, compassion, speak with conviction,
Build your own game, lay your own foundation.
Peace ain't just on the field or in the crowd,
It’s how you see the game, stand out and be proud.
Choose to accept or rewrite the rules,
Be the master, not just a one of the fools.
Life’s got three ways: fight, accept, or change,
Pick your team, rewrite the range.
Play your own game, under sun or shade,
Live your story, unafraid.
