Verse

We were so young, and gullible. Everything powered high. Feeling like superstars we loved like there was no tomorrow.

Give and take. We walked that way. Life was fun and fun was life.

Four years in we had a Baby Rose, springing up in the most beautiful way.

Then circumstances became difficult when one of us strayed. Gambling was never meant to be, not towards family. Never towards family.

A year passed by and the weeds did dry, and blew all away. Let's take a second try. At family.

Baby boy 1 and then baby boy 2 the Lord's been good through it all.

Years go by, a decade no doubt. The husband turned to a stranger once again. How can this be? How about our beautiful family?

But he's gone again. Never to return. There's no use in crying more.

Bridge

The Lord repairs our tattered hearts. We will go on with the Lord, being our light. Giving up that fight. No more fight. The Lord Jesus is my strength and song.
