Mighty Forest

Intro

(For-est!) Forest!

(For-est!) Forest!

From the Trent we rise, mighty Reds!

Verse

Born in '65, on the banks of the Trent,

City Ground calling, where the faithful are sent.

Through the wars and the mud, we carved out our name,

Radford's goals flying, setting the old game aflame.

Then Cloughie walked in, with that swagger and grin,

Taylor by his side, turning boys into men.

'77 promotion, '78 on top,

Champions of England, we never gonna stop!

Chorus

Oh, European kings, '79, '80 gold!

Malmö fell, then Hamburg, what a story told!

Lift the cup high, Forest forever we sing,

Nottingham's pride, hear the City Ground ring!

Reds! (Reds!) Reds! (Reds!)

Mighty Forest, we bring the thunder!

Verse

Trevor Francis first, a million quid king,

Shilton in goal, Viv breaking the wing.

McGovern the skipper, Garry Birtles flying,

Royals in the stands, passion never dying.

Back-to-back miracles, no one saw it coming,

Clough's magic dust, got the whole world humming.

From the second division to the pinnacle high,

Forest legends, reaching for the sky!

Chorus

Oh, European kings, '79, '80 gold!

Malmö fell, then Hamburg, what a story told!

Lift the cup high, Forest forever we sing,

Nottingham's pride, hear the City Ground ring!

Reds! (Reds!) Reds! (Reds!)

Mighty Forest, we bring the thunder!

Reds! (Reds!) Reds! (Reds!)

(For-est! For-est!)

Bridge

Ups and downs, we've seen the fight,

Relegations bite, but we hold on tight.

Through the lean years, the heart stays true,

Garibaldi red, it's me and you!

One day we'll rise, back to glory's door,

Forest family, forevermore!

Chorus

Oh, European kings, '79, '80 gold!

Malmö fell, then Hamburg, what a story told!

Lift the cup high, Forest forever we sing,

Nottingham's pride, hear the City Ground ring!

Reds! (Reds!) Reds! (Reds!)

Mighty Forest, we bring the thunder!
