Blame It On Doodle

Intro

(da da da) Arkey on the run

(wham-bam) blame game just begun

Verse

Arkey walked in with a mask and a grin

Took the cash from the drawer, slipped the teller a spin

Told the guard it was all just a game

Then pointed the finger when the sirens came

Said “It wasn’t me, no sir, not at all

Doodle planned the whole thing, Doodle took the fall”

Doodle’s just a name he pulled out the air

Now the cops are looking everywhere

Chorus

Arkey robbed the bank, yeah

Blamed it on Doodle, Doodle

Said it was Doodle, Doodle

(oh Doodle, Doodle)

Arkey got away clean, clean

Left the mess for Doodle, Doodle

Now the whole town’s calling, calling

(hey Doodle, Doodle)

Verse

Doodle’s at home with a sandwich and the news

Sees his face on the screen, can’t believe the views

Arkey’s laughing in some cheap motel

Counting the money while Doodle’s in hell

Neighbors knocking, asking what he did

Doodle’s shaking his head, “Man, I’m just a kid”

But Arkey’s story stuck like glue

Everybody swearing it’s all on you

Chorus

Arkey robbed the bank, yeah

Blamed it on Doodle, Doodle

Said it was Doodle, Doodle

(oh Doodle, Doodle)

Arkey got away clean, clean

Left the mess for Doodle, Doodle

Now the whole town’s calling, calling

(hey Doodle, Doodle)

Bridge

(na-na-na) truth don’t matter when the tale’s been told

(na-na-na) Arkey’s free while Doodle’s out in the cold

Chorus

Arkey robbed the bank, yeah

Blamed it on Doodle, Doodle

Said it was Doodle, Doodle

(oh Doodle, Doodle)

Arkey got away clean, clean

Left the mess for Doodle, Doodle

Now the whole town’s calling, calling

(hey Doodle, Doodle)
