Shielding Me

Verse

Every morning I wake up, thank the Lord for shielding me

Through the darkness of the night, His protection covering me

I release the weight of yesterday, the mistakes I used to hold

Now I'm walking in His mercy, and His grace makes me whole

Verse

When the trials come my way, and the path seems hard to find

Every blessing follows after me, His love is redefined

When my enemies surround me, trying to block my destined road

Jesus steps into the battle, and the darkness has to go

Chorus

Oooooooooooh, thank You Lord

Lord, Lord, for shielding me from all my enemies

Blessings, blessings falling over my head

God is my cover, He's the One I need

Oooooooh, ooooooh, ooooh

He's the One I need

Verse

Every step I take He guides me, never walking this alone

In His presence there is power, in His word I've found my home

All the storms that tried to break me, now they bow before His name

What the enemy intended for my hurt, He turns to gain

Chorus

Oooooooooooh, thank You Lord

Lord, Lord, for shielding me from all my enemies

Blessings, blessings falling over my head

God is my cover, He's the One I need

Oooooooh, ooooooh, ooooh

He's the One I need

Bridge

From the morning to the evening, He's my fortress and my strength

Every weapon formed against me falls apart at His great name

I will praise Him in the valley, I will praise Him on the mountain

For His goodness never fails me, like a never-ending fountain

Chorus

Oooooooooooh, thank You Lord

Lord, Lord, for shielding me from all my enemies

Blessings, blessings falling over my head

God is my cover, He's the One I need

Oooooooh, ooooooh, ooooh

He's the One I need

Outro

Thank You Lord, thank You Lord

For Your shield around me
