There Goes a Brother Who Tried( SalsPAL)

Verse

growing up life was hard, many pot holes and cracks, what’s a boy to do with out a father to watch his back, Big Bros one in the military the other incarcerated, so I found love in the streets, something I know momma hated, she tried her best to raise us right with daddy gone, she preached to us Gods words, but I went wrong!!!

Chorus

When I die don’t cry or even sigh, just look to the sky and say, there goes a brother who tried, went from crooked to straight, hope it ain’t to late, Hope mom and Sis there to greet me at the pearly gates, Yeah yeah

Verse

Running the streets with my crew, we didn’t care, Fighting & Robbing, Party Harty was everywhere, Sometimes something gotta go wrong to make you go right, even though I wasn’t there, it still haunted me day & night,

Chorus

When I die don’t cry or even sigh just look to sky and say, there goes a brother who tried, went from crooked to straight hope it ain’t to late, Hope mom and Sis there to greet me at the pearly gates, Ooh Ooh

Bridge

Thanks to Sal Otis and Bro Sammy I found my way out the jungle, not looking to go back, always staying humble, Giving back to my community helping Sal like he helped me, Thank you GOD that momma was able to see before she had to leave, Ooooh

Chorus

When I die don’t cry or even sigh just look to the sky and say, there goes a brother who tried from crooked to straight hope it ain’t to late, Hope mom and Sis there to meet me at the pearly gates ooh yeah oooh yeah
