I’ve walked the path they didn’t choose,

A little different in my stride

The one who felt the silent stares,

The whispers I could never hide.

I loved in ways they didn’t get,

Spoke truths they weren’t prepared to hear.

I stood alone in crowded rooms,

And wiped my tears where none drew near.

Yet even in the shadows cast,

Where doubt and distance try to creep,

God gently calls me by my name—

He knows the value of His sheep.

Set apart is not abandoned,

Different doesn’t mean unclaimed.

The Shepherd walks beside the one

The world forgets, misunderstands, or blames.

So here I stand—still chosen, loved,

Not lost, not last, not thrown away.

For even black sheep shine in grace

When God restores what others stray.
