King of Rock Birthday

Verse

Happy birthday to a nephew of mine born forty-five years ago,

on the same day as the King of Rock, and how the story goes.

His Name is Tim, born a witty son to my sister in the Arizona sun,

My nephew grew up with his brother Bret, and his legacy had begun.

Chorus

Happy birthday to my nephew Tim; he is like my very own son.

His birthday is like the king of rock, and he has a lot of fun.

He's a quiet man until the family shows up and can grab the center stage,

As the man from Phoenix tells his life story, no matter what his age.

Verse

Now the story goes on in nineteen ninety-eight when our family was moved to an eastern town,

And he meets a woman with some lovely kids and decides to settle down.

He is having his birthday in Tennessee, and he is two score and a five,

Yes, my nephew is a year older today, and thank God he's still alive.
