Being a Father

Intro

(yeah... mm-hmm)

Verse

Coffee’s cold but the smile’s warm

Little feet running across the floor

Teaching him how to throw a ball

Catching him when he starts to fall

Bedtime stories, one more page

Laughing loud at the same old joke

Every day feels like a brand new stage

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything

Chorus

Being a father is good

Being a father is good

Holding that tiny hand in mine

Watching the world through those bright eyes

Being a father is good

Being a father is good

Yeah it’s good, it’s good, it’s good

Oh-oh, being a father is good

Verse

First steps, first words, first day of school

Proud as can be when they break the rules

Just to see what they can get away with

Then we talk and we laugh and we fix it

Late-night talks when the house is quiet

Telling them everything’s gonna be alright

They grow up fast but the love stays slow

And every moment lets me know

Chorus

Being a father is good

Being a father is good

Holding that tiny hand in mine

Watching the world through those bright eyes

Being a father is good

Being a father is good

Yeah it’s good, it’s good, it’s good

Oh-oh, being a father is good

Bridge

Some days are messy, some days are long

But every single one feels like where I belong

(da da da, da da da)

Chorus

Being a father is good

Being a father is good

Yeah it’s good, it’s good, it’s good

Oh-oh, being a father is good

Being a father is good

Being a father is good

Outro
