SHORT PANTS (BIG DREAMS)

Intro

Yeah…

They laughed at him.

Short pants…

But watch.

Verse

Lil’ dude on the court, sun crackin’ the street

Hand-me-down Jordans, two sizes too cheap

They say “you too short, better sit in the stands”

He said “nah,” wiped sweat on his short little pants

Dribble so quick, make the whole block stare

Dreams so big can’t fit in the square

School bell ring but he still outside

Chasin’ that net when the daylight die

(Too small?)

(Nah!)

(Watch him!)

Chorus

Short Pants, big dreams, yeah he want it all

Came from the bottom, now he answer the call

Everybody doubt when they see that size

But the heart too big, can’t measure the grind

Short Pants, no fear, no brakes

Every missed shot just raised the stakes

Verse

Gym lights buzz, crowd half asleep

Till he cross one dude, now they on they feet

Coach said “prove it,” so he did that twice

Buzzer-beater jumper, yeah that felt nice

Laugh in the past, now they quiet today

Same kid, same fire, just a better play

From driveway nights to the main event

Short pants grow up, but the hunger ain’t spent

(Let’s go!)

(Again!)

Bridge

They counted inches, never counted heart

Every “no” just played its part

If you ever feel small, hear this track

Greatness don’t care what you lack

Chorus

Short Pants, big dreams, yeah he want it all

From the cracked concrete to the arena walls

They laughed once, now they chant his name

Same lil’ kid, whole new game

Short Pants… baller status unlocked

Outro

Remember this…

Legends start small.
