Till We Meet in Glory, Bimbo

Verse

Born on a morning in May, nineteen sixty-four

A light came shining through an open door

Bimbo, your laughter filled every room

Even in storms, you chased the bloom

From school days strong at Methodist Girls

A stubborn fire, a heart of pearls

Through Lagos State, your journey grew

A life of strength the world once knew

Chorus

Oh Bimbo, we’re missing you today

But heaven called and took you home to stay

Though tears may fall, our hearts still sing

You’re resting now with Christ our King

Goodbye for now, not the end of the story

We’ll meet again in eternal glory

Verse

You walked your path, your own strong way

Through night and dawn, through come-what-may

A sister, daughter, bold and true

A love so deep we always knew

Abigail’s child, so dearly raised

Through every trial, your spirit blazed

With Ade, Funke, Toun beside

A family bond that time won’t hide

Chorus

Oh Bimbo, we’re missing you today

But heaven called and took you home to stay

Though tears may fall, our hearts still sing

You’re resting now with Christ our King

Goodbye for now, not the end of the story

We’ll meet again in eternal glory

Bridge

And on that bed, your final breath

God’s mercy spoke louder than death

A hand reached out, your soul received

The gift of grace, you now believe

Oh what a joy, what holy peace

Your suffering done, your battles cease

To God be glory, we proclaim

Forever saved in Jesus’ name

Chorus

Oh Bimbo, now you’re finally free

In heaven’s light for eternity

No pain, no tears, no sorrow there

Just endless love beyond compare

Outro

Sixteenth of May, you took your flight

From earth’s dark veil to heaven’s light

We say goodbye with hopeful eyes

Not lost… just risen to the skies

Till we meet again, our hearts will hold

Your love, your strength, your story told

Dear sister, rest in heaven’s embrace

Forever covered by God’s grace
