Welmoed

Intro

Oh-oh, hey-ya, la-la

Welmoed in the kitchen, Welmoed on the trail

Verse

Thirteen candles on a cake she made

Flour on her cheek, dreams in every braid

She's got a frying pan and a pocket full of maps

Stirring up stories between pancakes and naps

Pre-chorus

She hums a little tune (hmm-hmm), sets the oven to warm

Tacks on her saddle, chases morning calm

Chorus

Welmoed, oh Welmoed, stir it up, ride away (ride away)

Sugar on her fingers, hay in her hair today (today)

Welmoed, oh Welmoed, laughing like a beam (la-la)

Cooking up tomorrow, riding through a dream (ride, ride)

Welmoed, yeah

Verse

She makes soup that smells like Sunday in June

Plates for the neighbors, humming a sunlit tune

Then she tucks her apron, clips the bridle tight

Gallops down the lane with the sky in sight

Pre-chorus

Her recipes stack like a secret code (shh), she writes them in the dust

She swaps a teaspoon for a ribbon, in the moment she trusts

Bridge

Ta-ta-touch the skillet, ki-ki-kiss the day (kiss the day)

Neighs and spoons in harmony, she finds her way (finds her way)

Mama calls dinner, the sun tips its hat

She brings a pie to the fence, and the horse nuzzles back, oh

Outro

Oh-oh, la-la, Welmoed on the move

Stirring, riding, making room

(la-la)
