Happy Birthday, Waljeron

Verse

West Side Chicago, '75

Roslyn’s only son, born to thrive

From the Catholic pews to the college halls

A Finance degree, standing ten feet tall

But life had some twists, some heartbreak and pain

Before the sun could break through the rain.

Verse

Then came Naomi, the love of your life

Three months in, and I became your wife

Eighteen years of holding the line

Through the "for better" and the "testing" times

We didn't give up, we just deepened the root

Now look at the branches and look at the fruit.

Chorus

Waljeron, you’re the gold that’s tried in fire

A provider, a protector, taking us higher

With a get-it-done heart and a spirit so bold

The greatest story that’s ever been told

Happy 51st birthday, my love and my friend.

Verse

When the '07 crash brought the world to its knees

You didn't stay down, you felt the breeze

Back to the books, a Lawyer you became

To provide for your family and honor your name

Now Waljeron Jr. and Jaxson can see

The definition of what a man should be.

Bridge

Because of your sacrifice, because of your soul

Our house is a sanctuary, you make us whole

The top of the ladder, the high-earner life

But I’m just grateful to be your wife

I sleep in peace because you’re by my side

With a heart so huge, and nothing to hide.

Outro

March 27th, we celebrate you

For the man you are and all that you do

Naomi loves you, now and always.

Happy Birthday, Waljeron
