Sixty-Two Years

Verse

In a Woolworth’s aisle in Stamford town,

Ella met Tony when love first came around.

But soon it was Enzo who won Ella’s heart,

And from Italy’s shores, they’d never truly part.

Chorus

Oh Enzo and Ella, through sixty-two years,

From Stamford to Skegness to Spalding, my dears.

From the Royal Restaurant they built with such flair,

To every car boot treasure, what a life they share.

Verse

Ella stayed in England as her father wished,

And Enzo, the chef who turned dreams into a dish.

From Stamford to Skegness, they’d always find a way,

Then on to Spalding, where they still cook every day.

Chorus

Oh Enzo and Ella, through sixty-two years,

From Stamford to Skegness to Spalding, my dears.

They’ve turned every chapter into love’s sweet art,

With a twinkle in their eyes and forever young at heart.

Now Enzo still bargains with his Italian flair,

And Ella’s Eastern European charm is beyond compare.

Through every antique clock and each weekend spree,

They’re still living their love story, wild and free.

Chorus

Oh Enzo and Ella, through sixty-two years,

From Stamford to Skegness to Spalding, my dears.

From the Royal Restaurant they built with such flair,

To every car boot treasure, what a life they share.
