By His Stripes

Intro

This one’s for my son… my namesake — Erick.

Your name means ‘ever-ruler’… ‘always powerful.’

You’ve been a gift from God since the day you took your first breath.

An active, clever child to raise… full of life, full of light.

I know I wasn’t the perfect dad — if I could do it again,

I would’ve gotten you that Dodge instead of the Beamer for your high school grad.

But what you’ve given me… five beautiful grandchildren, unshakable joy, and pride beyond words.

And even now, as you fight this battle, I’m standing with you,

Believing that by your faith — and by His blood and stripes —

you are healed.

Verse

You were born with a fire that never dies,

A spark of Heaven living in your eyes.

Through every trial, every mountain steep,

God’s been the Shepherd who guards your sleep.

Chorus

By His stripes, you are healed,

By His word, your future’s sealed.

You’re the ruler He designed,

Strong in body, heart, and mind.

You’re my son, my joy revealed —

By His stripes, you are healed.

Verse

You taught me patience, you taught me grace,

Even when pain tried to take your place.

Through every storm, I still see His hand,

Lifting you up where only faith can stand.

Chorus

By His stripes, you are healed,

By His word, your victory’s real.

Five blessings call your name,

Your legacy will never fade.

You’re my son, my joy revealed —

By His stripes, you are healed.

Bridge

Father, thank You for my son, Erick —

For the strength You built inside him.

For the faith that keeps his heart alive.

You said in Isaiah 53:5,

‘He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities;

the chastisement of our peace was upon Him — and by His stripes, we are healed.’

Lord, let that healing be complete — body, soul, and spirit.

Chorus

By His stripes, you are healed,

Every promise is fulfilled.

You’ve conquered fear, you’ve conquered pain,

You stand in power, in Jesus’ name.

You’re my son, my strength revealed —

By His stripes, you are healed.

Outro

Erick… my ever-ruler, my son, my pride.

You’ve shown me the power of faith in the fire.

You are healed, you are loved, and you belong to God — forever.

Healed… healed… healed…
