Beauty And Delight

Verse

In memories, we were sixteen, you and I,

A snowy day, with school days left behind.

My heart succumbed to love's sweet siege,

As winter's chill was warmed by your tender light.

Chorus

Oh, that day, all was beauty and delight,

Your laughter, a wine that made my heart take flight.

Snowflakes dissolved on your cheeks, like tears of joy,

And in your eyes, my very soul did deploy.

Verse

Snowflakes fall once more, like memories untold,

Perhaps in distant lands, schools are young and cold.

Tears, like snow, melt on my cheeks, as I recall,

Your smile, and the love that enthralls.

Chorus

Oh, that day, all was beauty and delight,

Your laughter, a wine that made my heart take flight.

Snowflakes dissolved on your cheeks, like tears of joy,

And in your eyes, my very soul did deploy.
