A Time For Caring

Verse

The flickering candle in the window gives hope to the lost.

Especially at Christmas where refuge is sought.

The smoke from the chimney shows a warm place.

All that's needed is a welcoming face.

Chorus

Christmas is a time for caring and sharing.

To give people hope.

If only for one day to escape their living hell.

So don't turn your back on those in need.

Remember this Christmas to show

compassion and goodwill to all needing shelter.

Verse

Not everyone has friends or relatives

that want them at this time of year.

A smiling face and the warmth of a fire

can lift the spirits of those that are down.

Chorus

A lit Christmas tree and a table full of food.

Just one extra present

and another place at your table,

will cheer anyone invited to your home.
