Lyrics
Intro
Hey—hey, Selah, come on, yeah
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh, hey-ya
Verse
Candles set the table, laughter in the frame
Polaroids and paper crowns, we call out your name
Old songs on the corner of another good year
You laugh and the room leans in, everybody near
Pre-chorus
Hands up, make a wish (make it true, make it true)
Spin the world just for tonight (just for you, just for you)
Chorus
Happy birthday, Selah, sing it loud (Selah, Selah)
Happy birthday, Selah, clap your hands (oh-oh, oh-oh)
Blow the light, make the wish (make it, make it)
We’ll dance until the morning lands (yeah, yeah)
Happy birthday, Selah, sing it loud (Selah, Selah)
Happy birthday, Selah, clap your hands (come on now)
Verse
Streets are holding stories, whispering your name (hey)
Every laugh a little louder, every silly game
You’re the spark in our slow songs, the reason we stay
Turning pages, making plans for a brighter day
Pre-chorus
Close your eyes, count to three (one, two, three)
Feel the cheer like a friendly wave (feel it now, feel it now)
Chorus
Happy birthday, Selah, sing it loud (Selah, Selah)
Happy birthday, Selah, clap your hands (oh-oh)
Blow the light, make the wish (make it, make it)
We’ll dance until the morning lands (yeah, yeah)
Happy birthday, Selah, sing it loud (Selah, Selah)
Happy birthday, Selah, clap your hands (come on now)
Bridge
Glass raised, a little louder than before (cheers)
Stories spilled like confetti on the floor
May the roads you pick be kind, may the nights be sweet
May every tiny victory feel like a drumbeat
Selah (Se-lah), you’re the song we keep
Selah (Se-lah), you’re the light in deep
