The following is from staff on how to build a positive school culture at LCSS. Put it to a upbeat country sound: Bring passion to my lesson even when it’s a tough topic, coach, soccer, prioritize self-care, to bring my best self to work, intentional positive self talk, Bannick days, welcome everyone into the class, hockey, pool, see the positive in all, kindness, intentionally interact with students, create a digital space to showcase, exceptional work, ask students how they are and actually listen to it, welcome children to the classroom, bring more positive energy, take the time, have more meaningful conversations with students, make eye contact with each kid smile, and say hello, great students positively every day and wish them a good day, another mural for the school, make my classroom welcoming, try to meet every grade 10, humor, consistency and support, a place where students names and interest matter, and I remembered, greeting students with their names, a smile and a personal comment or compliment if known, play LOFI to create a calm and focussed environment, take a breath before responding to people, approach every scenario, with understanding, humor, and laughter to calm, better communication with staff about student behaviors, ask about their weekend, open the front door with Mr. Berger like we did in the past, add energy that is positive and leave negative energy at the door, genuinely be happy to see students, smile, greeting students using their name, focus on what I can control, eye contact, and communication, supportive staff, welcoming, smile, and greeting, put pictures on the wall, welcoming and inclusion, build positive culture through sport, saying hi to all students, learn and use student names, engage in conversations with students who are not in my class, grow athletics, say hello to the quiet kids in the morning, stay positive
