Selfish and Cold

Intro

Yeah, listen up, it's time to spit some fire

About a man, who's always on desire

To get, to take, to never give

My grandpa, the king of selfishness, I live

Verse

He calls me up, (ring, ring) only when he needs

A favor, a hand, a fix, a deed

Never asks how I'm doing, (uh-huh) never cares

Just "that's family" (yeah, yeah) with his selfish airs

He says it's love, but it's just a claim

My brother, my parents, we're all just a game

Pawns to be used, (check, check) never to be heard

His ego's so big, it's like a tidal wave, blurred

Chorus

Grandpa, grandpa, so selfish and cold

Only thinks of himself, never to be told

That's not family, that's just a lie

You're a user, a taker, you never ask why

Na-na-na, you're on your own

Grandpa, grandpa, leaving us to atone

Verse

He's stubborn, (hmm) never listens, never bends

His way or the highway, that's where it ends

No compromise, (no way) no give and take

Just his rules, his way, for his own sake

We're just an afterthought, (oh-oh) a distant memory

Not even a phone call, (hello) to see if we're free

He's too busy, (wham-bam) living his best life

While we're left to struggle, (struggle) without a strife

Verse

I'm done with the excuses, (done, done) done with the pain

Tired of being used, (tired, tired) like a doormat in the rain

I deserve better, (yeah, yeah) we all do

A family that cares, (caring) that's what we pursue

Not just a word, (word) but a feeling, a deed

That's what family's about, (that's family) indeed

So grandpa, listen up, (listen) it's time to know

We won't be used, (no way) we won't be low
