Take Me to the Light

Verse

I was counting cracks in the ceiling

In a room that forgot my name

Then you stepped in with the daylight

And nothing stayed the same

Pre-chorus

You said, come closer, don't be afraid

There's a bigger world outside this place

Chorus

Take me to the light you know

Where the sunset burns and the cool winds blow

Where the starry night and the blue sky meet

On the hills with you, that's home to me

Take me to the light, don't let go

I was alone, now I'm ready to go

Verse

We ran where the gold sky was falling

Over hills that knew our names

Every step turned into a sunrise

Every fear just faded away

Pre-chorus

You held my hand and I could see

A whole new world opening for me

Chorus

Take me to the light you know

Where the sunset burns and the cool winds blow

Where the starry night and the blue sky meet

On the hills with you, that's home to me

Take me to the light, don't let go

I was alone, now I'm ready to go

Bridge

From the dark room to the open air

Every color found us there

And if this is a dream, don't wake me up

I found forever in your arms

Chorus

Take me to the light you know

Where the sunset burns and the cool winds blow

Where the starry night and the blue sky meet

On the hills with you, that's home to me

Take me to the light, don't let go

I was alone, now I'm ready to go
