A Brighter Christmas

Verse

The frost is on the Wolds, the lights are on the tree,

But are the streets of Beverley as bright as they could be?

We've been knocking on your doors, from Hessle right to Hornsea,

Hearing how your council tax is causing such a fuss, you see.

The bin days are confusing, the potholes make you sigh,

We know the East Riding deserves to reach for something high!

Pre-chorus

So hang up the tinsel, let the mulled wine flow,

But let's think about the future, watch the seeds we're gonna sow!

It's time for real change, a local Lib Dem plan,

To put the East Riding first, let's do the best we can!

Chorus

Oh, a Brighter Christmas in the East Riding,

Where transparency is what we're providing!

Merry and Local! Our pledge is standing firm,

For better bus routes, and lessons that we learn!

From Pocklington to Bridlington, hear the people cheer,

The Lib Dems are coming to make this the best New Year!

Verse

Remember how we fought for green and open space?

To save the local libraries, and set a fairer pace.

The coast road needs attention, the flood defence is key,

A proper local voice for every community.

We're listening to the farmers, the traders, and the schools,

We're bringing fresh ideas, and breaking tired old rules.

Verse

We won't just stand on the side, we'll knock on every door,

Fighting for a council that gives you so much more.

Forget the old divides, let's work as one strong team,

To make the East Riding truly live its golden dream!

Yes, the Lib Dems are here! Happy Christmas East Riding!

East Riding first!

Merry and Bright!
