Pop Pop Snowflakes

Intro

(ah-ah) Pop-pop, oh-oh, hey

Mmm, mmm, la-la, la

Verse

Coats zipped up, breath like frosting in the air

Street lamps hum a tune, somebody's laughter everywhere

Ornaments like planets, twinkling on the tree

We trade old stories, trade old worries, trade a little secrecy

Cocoa on the corner, marshmallows melt slow

Your mitten finds my hand and the whole world seems to glow

Skates clip-clack on the pond, heartbeat keeps the time

We sing off-key and perfect — this chorus is mine

Pre-chorus

Hold on, feel it rise (feel it rise)

Footsteps in the snow, neon-free surprise

Raise a paper star, light it up tonight

Come close, come close, come close and hold on tight

Chorus

Pop, pop, snowflakes fall (pop-pop)

Merry, merry, sing it loud in the hall

Pop, pop, spark the night (oh-oh)

Merry, merry — everything feels right

Pop, pop, snowflakes fall (pop-pop)

Merry, merry, ring the bells through the mall

Oh-oh, yeah, la-la, let's go

Merry, merry — through the streets we glow

Verse

Window smiles with paper chains and ribbon bows

Your laugh writes a light that only the season knows

We wrap up secret wishes with a bright red bow

Leave one on the doorstep for someone passing slow

Carols on the radio, a vinyl kind of cheer

We dance with our shadows but the shadows disappear

Cookies on a plate like tiny golden suns

We trade our half-made promises until the night is done

Pre-chorus

Hold on, hear the sound (hear the sound)

Sleigh bells spin the air, warmth melting frozen ground

Spin me like a record under winter skies

Come close, come close, the moon's in both our eyes

Chorus

Pop, pop, snowflakes fall (pop-pop)

Merry, merry, sing it loud in the hall

Pop, pop, spark the night (oh-oh)

Merry, merry — everything feels right

Pop, pop, snowflakes fall (pop-pop)

Bridge

Na-na, na-na, hands up, spin around (spin around)

Ho-ho, heyi ya, stomp the frozen ground (stomp it out)

Close your eyes, make a wish, throw it to the sky

Let it pop — watch it write our names across the night

Na-na, na-na, feel the chorus climb (feel it climb)

We keep the warmth like fire keeps time (keeps time)

Laugh until the morning, bright and slow

Merry in our mouths, we won't let go
