He squatted there among the rubble having vanquished the last of his foes the nights without end and the days even longer there was no one left nor was there even a linger of a past laced with hope the madness he had golfed so long to conquer had won It was over the destruction he now owned completely was his and his alone But there was no one left to cheer him on nor lift him in his triumph for to have vanquished all that opposed him left him with nothing and no one for they were all gone A silent rally with an infinite tally of lives lost and a world forsaken silent now in their absence he had done it all and lived to rule as a nation of one the only survivor his only power over the ashes and bodies the remains of his ways the lonesome confines of a man undone by his petty grievances his lies and destruction his lack of vision and obstruction his ignorance stupidity and greed all alone in his world of one.
