Happy Birthday Kerri

Intro

Happy birthday Kerri, fifty-nine and shining

Robin’s here to sing it loud, yeah you know the timing

Verse

Woodmere Academy, ninth grade, we were cheerleaders

Sneaking smokes behind the school, laughing like believers

Five Towns girls, Lawrence kitchen, Sheila cooking, Stan joking

Toyota Celica cruising, Stacey riding shotgun, we were floating

Chorus

Happy birthday Kerri, fifty-nine and fine

Forty-five years later and you’re still my lifeline

You’ll always be my Kerri, I’ll always be your Robin

(You’ll always be my Kerri) yeah, forever we’re locked in

Happy birthday Kerri, fifty-nine and glowing

We took different roads but we keep on showing

You’ll always be my Kerri, I’ll always be your Robin

(You’ll always be my Kerri) oh-oh, we’re never stopping

Verse

Sands Beach Club, cabana boys, we were dressed to kill

Fancy labels, fancy shoes, you always had that thrill

Brian then Seth, you had the boyfriends first

Then Brett came around, engagement, then the burst

Verse

Fire Island nights, you met Michael, wedding bells rang

Kids came along, then the chapter changed

Back to Brett again, we circle round and round

Mitchell’s guitar rocking in the background sound

Hartford days, you gave me Debbie, my forever friend

All these threads keep tying us together in the end

Bridge

Through every twist and every turn

We always find our way back, we never learn

To stay apart, it just don’t work

We’re stuck like glue, you and me, that’s the perk

Chorus

Happy birthday Kerri, fifty-nine and fine

Forty-five years later and you’re still my lifeline

You’ll always be my Kerri, I’ll always be your Robin

(You’ll always be my Kerri) yeah, forever we’re locked in

Outro

You’ll always be my Kerri… I’ll always be your Robin

(Always be your Robin) da-da-da, yeah we’re golden
