Follow His Example

Verse

I watch you, Mom and Dad

And learn from your example;

I know it makes you glad

To see that a small sample

Of everything you’ve said

Shows up in your disciple.

Chorus

Just like you, Mom and Dad,

The Lord sets an example;

So you can make me glad

By showing me a sample

Of how all he has said

Has shaped you as disciples.

Verse

So please, dear Mom and Dad,

Please follow his example;

Then it will make him glad

To see his small disciple

Become, just as he said,

One of his well-trained people.
