Yield Not to Temptation

Intro

(Oh Lord) Yield not, yield not

(Have mercy) Yield not to temptation

Verse

Oh weary soul, in the midnight hour

The tempter comes with his silver tongue

Promisin' pleasure, a fleeting power

But it leads straight down where the lost are flung

Press on, my brother, hold to the line

Sister, stand firm in the Savior's light

The battle rages, but grace divine

Will arm your spirit for the fight

Chorus

Yield not to temptation

(Oh no, yield not)

Yield not to temptation

(Stand strong, yield not)

Cling to the cross, let His blood atone

In Jesus' name, you'll make it home

Yield not, yield not

(Hallelujah, yield not)

Yield not to temptation

Verse

When whispers call from the shadowed way

And worldly chains try to pull you low

Remember Calvary, the price He paid

His love's the anchor that won't let go

Kneel down and pray through the storm and trial

The Holy Spirit will be your guide

Lift up your eyes to the King most royal

In Him alone, true strength abides

Chorus

Yield not to temptation

(Oh no, yield not)

Yield not to temptation

(Stand strong, yield not)

Cling to the cross, let His blood atone

In Jesus' name, you'll make it home

Yield not, yield not

(Hallelujah, yield not)

Yield not to temptation

Bridge

(Amen, amen) Oh the joy of the faithful few

Who fight and conquer by His might

(Glory, glory) Heaven's gates swingin' open wide

For those who yield not day or night

Chorus

Yield not to temptation

(Oh no, yield not)

Yield not to temptation

(Stand strong, yield not)

Cling to the cross, let His blood atone

In Jesus' name, you'll make it home

Yield not, yield not

(Hallelujah, yield not)

Yield not to temptation

Yield not, yield not

(Amen)
