He Guides Us Through The Darkness

Verse

There are times when darkness closes in around us

That give us the feeling that God is not there,

But knowing the Savior gives us a light to follow

We have the promise that Jesus does care.

Chorus

He guides us through the darkness

He is with us in the light

He promised to never leave us

Through the dark and stormy nights

When we can’t see the pathway

We need just keep holding on

For He will guide us with His light

To a bright and shining dawn

Verse

From the moment that suffering comes our way

His angels surround us with love,

And though we don’t see them, if we listen

We will hear their wings moving like wind from above.

Chorus

He guides us through the darkness

He is with us in the light

He promised to never leave us

Through the dark and stormy nights

When we can’t see the pathway

We need just keep holding on

For He will guide us with His light

To a bright and shining dawn

Verse

So as you travel through the hard days ahead

You travel the road not alone

For our Savior has covered it all from on high

From the cross, to the heavens His glory has shown.

Chorus

He guides us through the darkness

He is with us in the light

He promised to never leave us

Through the dark and stormy nights

When we can’t see the pathway

We need just keep holding on

For He will guide us with His light

To a bright and shining dawn
