You Are My Strength

Verse

When the road is long and weary,

And my heart begins to fear,

I will lift my eyes to Heaven,

For I know that You are near.

In the middle of my struggle,

In the middle of my pain,

You give power to the broken,

You give strength again and again.

Pre-chorus

You lift me higher, higher,

Above the storm and fear,

My God, my fire, my fire,

You make my pathway clear.

Chorus

You make my feet like the deer, like the deer,

I will run and never fear, never fear.

On the heights I will stand,

Held securely by Your hand,

Oh Lord, You are my strength,

Yes, You are my strength.

You make my feet like the deer, like the deer,

Every mountain disappears, disappears.

I will sing, I will rise,

With Your power in my life,

Oh Lord, You are my strength,

Yes, You are my strength.

Verse

Through the valleys and the shadows,

Through the thunder and the rain,

You are faithful through the battle,

You are with me through the pain.

When my spirit feels exhausted,

And my hope is growing dim,

I remember who goes before me—

The victory belongs to Him.

Pre-chorus

You lift me higher, higher,

Above the storm and fear,

My God, my fire, my fire,

You make my pathway clear.

Chorus

You make my feet like the deer, like the deer,

I will run and never fear, never fear.

On the heights I will stand,

Held securely by Your hand,

Oh Lord, You are my strength,

Yes, You are my strength.

Bridge

Strength when I am weak,

Hope when I can’t see,

Grace that carries me,

Lord, You carry me.

Higher and higher,

Deeper and deeper,

Closer and closer,

I’m held by my Keeper.

Higher and higher,

Deeper and deeper,

Closer and closer,

I’m held by my Keeper.

Chorus

You make my feet like the deer, like the deer,

I will praise You year to year, year to year.

On the mountains I will sing,

For the Lord is faithful King,

Oh Lord, You are my strength,

Forever my strength.

Oh Lord, You are my strength,

Forever my strength.

Forever my strength.

Forever my strength.
