Fernando

Verse

In a world of fire-breathin' dragons so wild,

Fernando was different, not mean or beguiled.

While others hoarded gold and let out their roars,

He dreamed of red trucks and savin' folks from the jaws.

Of flames that could swallow a whole dang town,

He'd watch from the hills, never makin' a sound.

Chorus

Oh, Fernando, spray that water high (high, high),

Turnin' fire to smoke under wide open sky.

No more hidin' in shadows, no more feelin' alone,

He's the dragon with heart, callin' the village his home.

Yeah, water over fire, that's his fightin' song,

Fernando the hero, where he belongs.

Verse

He practiced in secret by the river's edge,

Hosin' down campfires, leavin' folks on the ledge.

Of wonder and scratchin' their heads in the night,

A dragon puttin' out blazes, what a curious sight.

Tried joinin' the firehouse, knockin' on the door,

But they scattered like leaves when he showed up for more.

Verse

Then the big blaze came roarin' through the pines,

Eatin' up the forest, crossin' all the lines.

Humans fought hard but the flames wouldn't yield,

Fernando took wing, made the sky his shield.

Unleashed a mighty stream from the clouds up above,

Saved the town from the ashes, earned their cheers and their love.

Chorus

Oh, Fernando, spray that water high (high, high),

Turnin' fire to smoke under wide open sky.

No more hidin' in shadows, no more feelin' alone,

He's the dragon with heart, callin' the village his home.

Yeah, water over fire, that's his fightin' song (fightin' song),

Fernando the hero, where he belongs.
