Queen at Eighty-Two

Verse

Known as Mama, Grammy, Gammy, Aunt Jackie

First-born child of Jack and Dorothy

Catholic school at four, twins arrived soon after

Then baby brother Dwight eight years later

Chorus

Through every season, she held on strong

Raising her children, her faith kept her going

From trains and red cream potatoes to a life full of love

Now at eighty-two, she sits on her throne above

Verse

Young single mother for six long years

Then Herman came, her knight through the years

Married in three months, a blended family grew

Six kids in all, love saw them through

Bridge

Thirty years a wife, first lady to three churches

Raising generations, through all the searches

When God called him home, she faced lonely days

Then Emmanuel came, with more love to stay

Chorus

Through every season, she held on strong

Raising her children, her faith kept her going

From trains and red cream potatoes to a life full of love

Now at eighty-two, she sits on her throne above

Outro

She sings and she dances, tells jokes from the past

Learned real estate, insurance, cosmetology at last

Now it's her time to shine, let everyone care

Queen Jackie, eighty-two, beyond compare
