Lyrics

Verse

In Rome’s shadowed land, oppressed and in chains,

The Messiah came to shine His holy light.

Not ritual but truth, not sacrifice but love,

To the poor in spirit, heaven’s door is opened wide.

Chorus

Repent, for the Kingdom is near.

I will seek His righteousness first.

On the rock my life is built secure,

It shall never, never fall.

Verse

Through the desert trials, He conquered by the Word.

In the secret place, the Father’s voice is heard.

Seek first His kingdom, seek first His will,

All things will be added by His grace fulfilled.

Bridge

I will choose the narrow way, leaving the world behind,

The cross of love will be my endless song.

Let Your kingdom come, Lord, let Your will be done,

Forever I will follow You alone.

Chorus

Repent, for the Kingdom is near.

I will seek His righteousness first.

Jesus Christ, the light that breaks the dark,

My Redeemer, eternal Lord.
