Happy Birthday

Intro

Hey—hey—hey, light it up, light it up

(woo) Make a wish, make it loud, make it count

Verse

You came in laughing with pockets full of jokes

Thumbs-up, midnight coffee, tattered concert tees

A little louder than the calendar says you should be

Shoes on the table, yesterday’s plans set free

We line the room with colors like a secret we keep

Friends on the doorstep, stories that won't sleep

Pre-chorus

Count it down — three, two, one (one, one)

Hold your breath, feel the room begin to run

Blow the light, let it go (let it go)

Chorus

Happy birthday — sing it, sing it, sing it now (oh-oh)

Happy birthday — drum it in the chest, feel how (yeah)

Make a wish, make it bright, close your eyes, take flight

Happy birthday — dance it up, all through the night

Happy birthday — clap your hands, stomp the floor (clap, clap)

Happy birthday — we keep coming back for more

Verse

Tape on the ceiling, photographs in frames

Every laugh a pin on a map of little flames

You grew another year like a song that learned to bend

Still same like-scratched records, better with every spin

Balloons in the hallway, your name in glitter script

We steal a second just to catch that crooked grin

Pre-chorus

One more beat — feel the room breathe in (breathe in)

Wish on the small things, wish on the big things

Close your eyes, count the lights (count the lights)

Bridge

Raise your cup, say your name like you mean it (say it)

Spin like the records that saved us from the quiet

Shout through the hallway, shout into the moon

Tonight is yours, tonight we bloom — bloom, bloom

Happy birthday — sing it, sing it, sing it now (oh-oh)

Outro

Make a wish, make it count (make it count)

Ha-ha-happy, ha-ha-happy, yeah — oh-oh
