Joyful, Joyful - Two Hundred Years

Verse

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee,

God of glory, Lord of love;

Two hundred years we've served before Thee,

First Presby, Milledgeville.

Faith in action, strong and steady,

Through the storms we've held Thy hand;

Generations bold and ready,

Building Thy eternal plan.

Verse

Hands extended, hearts united,

Feeding souls in need each day;

Teaching truth, the lost invited,

Lighting paths along the way.

Weddings, funerals, joys and sorrows,

Worship rising, prayers ascend;

Missions far, and local tomorrows,

Faith alive, without an end.

Verse

Trials came, yet grace prevailed here,

Wars and floods could not erase;

Voices strong in song and prayer here,

Holding fast to heaven's grace.

Children taught, the youth inspired,

Seniors wise in faithful lore;

Every deed Thy love required,

Two centuries, and even more.

Verse

Forward now, Thy call we answer,

Faith in action, ever new;

Praise eternal to the Master,

God who makes our labors true.

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee,

Lord of past and hope ahead;

First Presby stands to honor Thee,

Two hundred years, Thy church is led!
