Birthday Scroll

Verse

Jes got skin like paper, pale in the light

Sun hits her face and it’s instant fight

Turns red like a tomato, no in-between

Living that glow-up… accidentally extreme

Phone in her hand like it’s superglued tight

Scrolling all day, scrolling all night

World keeps spinning but she don’t care

Got a whole online life in a 6-inch square

Pre-chorus

Notifications buzzing like a hive in her head

Every little comment got her seeing red

Chorus

It’s your birthday, Jes, but nobody knows

No candles, no cake, just endless scrolls

Getting rage-baited by a stranger’s post

Fighting in the comments like you got the most

It’s your birthday, Jes, yeah it’s slipping away

But you’re stuck in a loop on a digital day

Red like fire, pale like snow

It’s your birthday, Jes… but nobody knows

Verse

Algorithm feeding her the drama and heat

Every bad take got her jumping to her feet

Typing real fast, caps lock on

Three hours later and the day is gone

Friends might text but she don’t see

Too busy arguing about some tweet

Truth don’t matter, it’s the thrill of the fight

She’s defending her honor to a username “Byte”

Pre-chorus

Heart rate rising with every reply

Didn’t even notice the whole day fly by

Chorus

It’s your birthday, Jes, but nobody knows

No candles, no cake, just endless scrolls

Getting rage-baited by a stranger’s post

Fighting in the comments like you got the most

It’s your birthday, Jes, yeah it’s slipping away

But you’re stuck in a loop on a digital day

Red like fire, pale like snow

It’s your birthday, Jes… but nobody knows

Bridge

Midnight hits and the screen goes dim

Reflection staring back, it’s kinda grim

No song was sung, no wish was made

Just echoes of arguments slowly fade

Outro

Maybe next year she’ll put it down

Step outside, walk around town

But tonight it’s glow from a lonely screen

And the quietest birthday there’s ever been
