Open Their Eyes

Intro

Lord, open their eyes…

Let ‘em see what’s really goin’ on…

We wrestle not against flesh and blood, Lord…

Verse

You always let them whispers take control,

Turnin’ hearts that once were whole,

Every word becomes another wall,

But I still hear the Savior call.

Pre-chorus

If you could see what I can see,

You’d fall right down upon your knees,

It ain’t flesh, it’s a war for your soul,

But Jesus’ love can make you whole.

(Choir hums softly: “Mmm… make you whole…”)

Chorus

You always let people divide us,

And it breaks my heart each time,

If you’d seek Jesus, He’d remind us,

Love was born to never die.

Can’t you see the demons workin’,

Behind those angry eyes?

Oh Lord, I’m standin’ here prayin’,

That You’d open their eyes.

Verse

I’ve seen the devil smile when we fight,

Felt the shadows steal our light,

But grace still whispers through my pain,

“Forgive them, child, I’ll break the chain.”

Pre-chorus

You can’t fight hate with hate, my friend,

Only mercy brings the end,

And when the blood of Jesus falls,

Every demon’s got to crawl.

Chorus

You always let people divide us,

And it breaks my heart each time,

If you’d seek Jesus, He’d remind us,

Love was born to never die.

Can’t you see the demons workin’,

Behind those smiling lies?

But I still keep intercedin’,

My God still hears my cry.

Bridge

Lord, tear the veil, make the blind eyes see,

Let Your Spirit fall and set them free.

Every wound, every scar, every pain,

God, You can heal it in Jesus’ name.

(Choir ad-libs in background: “Mmm… set them free… Oh Lord…”)

Chorus

You always let people divide us,

But I still lift Your name on high,

If they’d seek Jesus, You’d find us,

Right here where Your love abides.

Can’t you see the demons tremblin’,

When Your children start to rise?

Oh, I’ll keep prayin’, keep believin’,

Till they see through Jesus’ eyes.

Outro

Till they see through Jesus’ eyes…

Lord, don’t let the devil win tonight…

Mmm… not tonight…
