Lyrics
Verse
Eighty-four years in the Temple hall,
Standing her watch and standing tall!
A heart of gold and a soul on fire,
Waiting on the hope of the world’s desire!
The doors fly open to the morning sun,
The wait is over and the work begun—
She sees the Child in the holy place,
And the light of heaven shines on her face!
Chorus
OH, RAISE UP THE FIDDLE AND LIFT UP THE VOICE!
ANNA SAW THE KING, LET THE HILLS REJOICE!
ON THE THIRTIETH DAY, THE TALE IS TOLD,
OF A PROMISE KEPT MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD!
REDEMPTION IS HERE! (HEY!)
REDEMPTION IS HERE!
Outro
From the Temple floor to the valleys wide,
Jerusalem sings, "He has arrived!"
LUKE 2:36—THE LIGHT HAS COME!
