Forever With You

Verse

It was 2009, you were looking so fine

First time I saw you in that Starbucks line

From that first moment my heart knew it was true

Every day since then, God’s blessed me with you

Chorus

Melanie, God brought you to me

You’re my heart’s delight

Through every joy and every trial

With you it’s all right

You’re my treasure, my wife, the mother I adore

Melanie, I thank God for you forevermore

Verse

Then came Sophia, Emmalie, Joseph too

Little lives that taught us what love can do

Through the hard times and the grace we’ve known

God held us close, made our hearts a home

Verse

Our house feels like a farm most days

Birds and lizards, chickens running our way

Brandy and wine when the day is through

Every blessing I see points back to you

Chorus

Melanie, God brought you to me

You’re my heart’s delight

Through every joy and every trial

With you it’s all right

You’re my treasure, my wife, the mother I adore

Melanie, I thank God for you forevermore

Bridge

You’re the best of your parents, strong and kind

Cut from your father’s brave design

We honor their lives in the love we show

A hero’s story still living on

Verse

Through every season you bring love to our lives

Every holiday, every sunrise

God shows His grace when I wake each day

To your smiling face, I’m led His way

Chorus

Melanie, God brought you to me

My forever love

A patient heart, a woman of faith

Sent from above
