We Come to the House of the Lord

Verse

We are coming to the house of the Lord,

With thanksgiving and a song of praise;

Every heart awakened, every voice in one accord,

We will bless His holy name;

At His gates we lift our hands and sing—

Jesus Christ, You are our King!

Chorus

There is joy in the house of the Lord,

There is hope for everyone;

There is freedom in the presence of the Lord,

There is mercy through the Son;

Let our praises rise with one accord—

We rejoice in the house of the Lord!

Verse

We are leaving every burden at the door,

For His grace has made a way;

We will worship, we will trust Him more and more,

As we gather here today;

With one faith and one resounding voice—

In the Lord our hearts rejoice!

Bridge

Come and praise Him,

Come and praise Him,

Come and praise the Lord with me;

He is faithful,

He is worthy,

Jesus reigns eternally!

Chorus

There is joy in the house of the Lord,

There is hope for everyone;

There is freedom in the presence of the Lord,

There is mercy through the Son;

Let our praises rise forevermore—

We rejoice in the house of the Lord!

Outro

We rejoice, we rejoice—

In the house of the Lord!
