Saved by the Light of God

Intro

Light of God, light of God (oh-oh)

Light of God, come near

Verse

I was walking on a road that bruised my feet

Carried broken promises and tired defeat

Windows closed, the night pressed in so tight

Then a hand reached down and split the night

Pre-chorus

You lifted me, you called my name (you called my name)

Pulled the sting away, took all the blame

I fell to my knees and I began to breathe

Found a love that won't leave

Chorus

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

Saved by the light of God, hallelujah, hallelujah

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

You burned the chains away — oh-oh, amen

Verse

Stains turned to stars across a heaven-wide sky

Wounds became the map of where mercy passed by

Every doubt that I held, every fear I named

Melted in the blaze of Your holy flame

Pre-chorus

You made a harbor out of all my scars (oh-oh)

Wrote my story in the spaces where the light is hard

I raise my voice, I will not be ashamed

I sing the only Name

Chorus

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

Saved by the light of God, hallelujah, hallelujah

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

You burned the chains away — oh-oh, amen

Bridge

When walls came up, you came through (you came through)

When I was lost, you were true (you were true)

I see the road, I see the dawn, I see new days

You are the song that never fades (yeah, yeah)

Chorus

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

Saved by the light of God, hallelujah, hallelujah

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

You burned the chains away — oh-oh, amen

Chorus

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

Saved by the light of God, hallelujah, hallelujah

Saved by the light of God, saved by the light of God

You burned the chains away — oh-oh, amen

Outro

Light of God, stay close (stay close)

Light of God, I'm home (I'm home)

Hallelujah, amen, hallelujah, amen
