Rise Up (Hallelujah Anthem)

Intro

Guitar shout, stomps and claps (come on!)

Hey! Hey! Hey! — yeah

Verse

Morning broke like a promise on the run

Dust on my boots, but the day ain't done

I got a spark in my chest, it won't lie

A little ragged hope and a big sky

Doors swing wide when the choir sings

Steel strings bending under golden rings

I hear a calling that don't quit (don't quit)

A roaring mercy, a full-throttle hit

Pre-chorus

Lift that worry to the rafters (lift it up)

Turn those doubts into shouts (shout it out)

Feel the thunder of your laughter (feel it)

This is what we're made for now

Chorus

Rise up, rise up, sing it loud — hallelujah (hallelujah)

Rise up, rise up, stomp the ground — amen, amen

Oh-oh, oh-oh, let the light come through ya

Rise up, rise up, sing it loud — hallelujah (yeah, yeah)

Verse

Brothers and sisters on the corner of need

Passing a paper cup, passing a seed

Somebody's praying with their fist in the air

Somebody's laughing like they just don't care

We got a rhythm in our bones, a truth in our hands

Turning every broken street into marching bands

The preacher's voice and the city's drum (whoa-oh)

Say the night is over and the dawn's begun

Pre-chorus

Shake that silence from your shoulders (shake it off)

Drop the weight you used to wear (let it go)

Find the choir inside you bolder (sing it out)

Hope is shouting in the air

Chorus

Rise up, rise up, sing it loud — hallelujah (hallelujah)

Rise up, rise up, stomp the ground — amen, amen

Oh-oh, oh-oh, let the light come through ya

Rise up, rise up, sing it loud — hallelujah (come on)

Bridge

Guitar wail like a bell, ring, ring, ring

Hands to the sky, let the freedom sting

Call and answer — "Who will stand?"

We will stand! (We will stand)

Call and answer — "Who will love?"

We will love! (We will love)

Shout it once, shout it twice, shout it till it lands
