Show It, Don't Hide It

Intro

When Jesus is the light of your life — show it, don't hide it (oh-oh)

When Jesus is the light of your life — show it, don't hide it (yeah)

Verse

I used to tuck my faith inside, whisper it low

But mercy called me louder than the fear I used to know

A hand extended taught me how to stand, taught me how to give

So I learned to let the kindness live

I learned to answer anger with a prayer, not a fight

Forgive the one who cut you deep, set your burden down tonight (down)

Say thank you when somebody offers up a little grace

No strings, no balance owed, just a smiling face

Pre-chorus

Open hands, open roads, let your life be proof (be proof)

Light the small things, multiply the truth (multiply)

Don't hide the joy that saved you, don't keep it all inside

Let it spill — let it spill — let it spill wide

Chorus

Show it, don't hide it, yeah (show it, show it)

When Jesus is the light of your life — show it, don't hide it (oh-oh)

Forgive who hurt you, release it, walk in freedom (walk in freedom)

Appreciate the good, give thanks without a reason

Be kind to others, be kind to others — show it, don't hide it (show it, don't hide it)

Verse

A neighbor brings a meal, you say, "God bless you," and mean it

You don't tally kindness like a debt you might need to even

Little mercy, little patience, ripple out and never stop

A smile that breaks a chain, a word that lifts the block

If someone stumbles, hold a light, offer up a hand

Forgiveness is a doorway, and love is the land

We don't need trophies, we don't need a medal or a crown

We need a thousand gentle hearts to turn this world around

Bridge

Say amen — amen — (amen) say amen — amen (yeah)

Let mercy move you, let gratitude become your hymn (hymn)

One small kind thing, one small kind thing can change a town (change it)

Forgive, give thanks, and then pass it on — pass it on (pass it on)
