The Kingdom Is Where

Verse

I thirst all day long but can find nothing to drink

Hunger rumbles in my stomach but no one cares

Where then will I find sustenance to keep my life alive?

Not in this world, not in this world.

Chorus

But if not here, then where?

The Kingdom, the Kingdom of God

Where live giving water flows and manna abounds

The Kingdom is where because God cares.

Verse

I seek for shelter from the rain and everything falling on my life

A simple roof, a shelter, a place to find respite from the day

Where then, will I find shelter, where then will I find my home?

Not in this World, Not in this World

Chorus

But if not here, then where?

The Kingdom of God is where, the Kingdom of God

Where Gods hand provides shelter and comforts me each day

The Kingdom is where because Christ Cares

Verse

I seek only to be understood, so I can simply live my life

But the world does not understand and discards me as worthless

Where then, will I find acceptance, where will I find a token of Value

Not in this World , Not in this world.

Chorus

But if not here, then where?

The Kingdom of God is where, the Kingdom of God

Where Jesus hears my cries and soothes my tortured soul

The Kingdom is where because the Spirit Loves

Verse

Now I look out upon the world and ask “where do I belong?”

Where success is measured in dollars and social media followers?

Where than will I find a place where my worth will be told?

Not in this World, Not in this World.

Chorus

But if not here, then where?

The Kingdom of God is where, The Kingdom of God

Where my hurting soul is soothed, and I can be who I am

The Kingdom of God is where because that’s where I belong.

Bridge

We need to find a place here on earth where we belong

A place of peace, of understanding, of acceptance, and love

Where fellowship and friendship reigns from above

Maybe in this world, Maybe in this one.
