Dottie Lee

Verse

Out on the old desert dirt roads

Where the dust kicks up in a cloud

There's a chubby Texas heeler runnin'

Chasin' lizards and butterflies around

Verse

Dottie Lee with that redhead fire

Opinionated, won't back down

She'll beg for every scrap off your plate

Then guard your heart like it's the only one in town

Chorus

Dottie Lee, Dottie Lee

Loyal as the red dirt ground

She'll give her life for you without a blink

But call you a cheater if another dog comes around

Dottie Lee, Dottie Lee

Love with a little attitude abound

Beggin' for your supper, chasin' the breeze

My redhead heeler, don't let her down

Verse

She'll lay by the truck in the evenin' light

Waitin' on you to come on home

Never misses a chance at your sandwich

But she'd fight the devil if you felt alone

Bridge

Ain't no other dog can steal her spot

She'll stare you down with those loyal eyes

One pet to another and she turns her head

Like she knows every little white lie

Chorus

Dottie Lee, Dottie Lee

Loyal as the red dirt ground

She'll give her life for you without a blink

But call you a cheater if another dog comes around

Dottie Lee, Dottie Lee

Love with a little attitude abound

Beggin' for your supper, chasin' the breeze

My redhead heeler, don't let her down
