Hear Me, O God PSALM 4

Intro

O Father, come and hear me (come and hear)

Jesus, rise — make answer now (make answer, make answer)

Holy Spirit, move like fire (move like fire) — yah, yah

Verse

When danger circles, when false words fly

I call Your name and lift my eyes

You set a table when my trust is tried

You turn the night into a resting place

Show me mercy, bend Your face

Walk before me, steady my pace

Pre-chorus

Do not hide Your truth from me

Let Your favor be the light I see (light I see)

Keep me walking in the straight way

When voices shout for lies, I will not stray

Chorus

Hear me — O God, hear me (hear me, hear me)

You are my refuge, You are my plea (You are my plea)

I lay down, I sleep, I trust in Your keeping (trust in You)

I wake with joy, Your peace is mine (oh-oh, oh)

Hear me — O God, hear me (hear me, hear me)

Verse

There are those who chase the low bright things

They trade their word for shallow rings

But I will call on truth and bring my praise

With open hands I offer morning songs

Not for show, but right where I belong

Lead me in the path where mercy runs

Pre-chorus

Rise, Lord, and show the proud their place

Quiet the boasting, cradle the broken (cradle the broken)

Teach the nations to bend the knee

Teach our tongues to sing what grace has done

Chorus

Hear me — O God, hear me (hear me, hear me)

You are my refuge, You are my plea (You are my plea)

I lay down, I sleep, I trust in Your keeping (trust in You)

I wake with joy, Your peace is mine (yah, yah)

Hear me — O God, hear me (hear me, hear me)

Bridge

Oh, Lord of mercy, send Your favor down

Let strings lift praise, let voices crown (let voices crown)

From the valley to the mount we cry — hosanna! (hosanna)

Comfort those who tremble, gather every one

You change our mourning into dancing (dance, dance)

We shout Your name, we shout Your name — hallelujah!

Chorus

Hear me — O God, hear me (hear me, hear me)

You are my refuge, You are my plea (my plea)

I lay down, I sleep, I trust in Your keeping (trust, trust)

I wake with joy, Your peace is mine (oh-oh)

Hear me — O God, hear me (hear me, hear me)

Chorus

Hear me — O God, hear me (come and hear me)

You are my refuge, You are my plea (You are my plea)
