Scarlet Lane Serenade

Verse

Come gather ye spirits and mortals alike,

Where the moon paints the barley with silver at night,

There’s a lantern that glows and a door open wide,

At the Scarlet Lane Brewery, where ghosts love to bide.

Chorus

So raise up your glasses, ye bold and ye free,

Drink deep of the stout and the pale barley,

With a laugh and a cheer we’ll all sing again,

For the haunted good fortune of old Scarlet Lane!

Verse

There’s a phantom who fiddles, his bow never still,

And a banshee who dances on windowsill,

We drank with the ghost Erik Bloodaxe that night,

And he toasted the stout by the lantern’s red light.

Chorus

So raise up your glasses, ye bold and ye free,

Drink deep of the stout and the pale barley,

With a laugh and a cheer we’ll all sing again,

For the haunted good fortune of old Scarlet Lane!

Verse

The ale flows like rivers, the stout dark as night,

The laughter of spirits is merry and bright,

No sorrow, no sadness shall darken the tune,

When the brewery’s singing beneath the red moon.

Chorus

So raise up your glasses, ye bold and ye free,

Drink deep of the stout and the pale barley,

With a laugh and a cheer we’ll all sing again,

For the haunted good fortune of old Scarlet Lane!

Verse

So here’s to the brewing, the barrels, the song,

To the friends in the flesh and the ghosts all night long,

May the echoes of laughter forever remain,

In the heart and the hearth of old Scarlet Lane!

Chorus

Raise up your glasses, ye bold and ye free,

Drink deep of the stout and the pale barley,

With a laugh and a cheer we’ll all sing again,

For the haunted good fortune of old Scarlet Lane
