Dog Man

Intro

Hey! (woof) Hey! (woof)

Ba-ba-bark, ba-ba-bark, hey-yeah

Verse

He’s a tail-wind walking on two feet,

Badge on his chest, mud on his sneaky seat.

City corners know his name, he’s on patrol,

Treat in his pocket and a miracle in his roll.

Pre-chorus

When the siren’s low and the alley’s gray,

He tilts his head, he’s got a plan — oh, okay.

Jump, flip, slide — he’s following the trail,

Whistle, whistle, (come on) let the wagging tale prevail.

Chorus

Dog man, dog man, wag that cape, woah-oh (woof)

Dog man, dog man, light it up, go-go (hey)

Bark-laugh, ba-ba-bark, run the night (run the night)

Dog man, dog man, everything’s alright, yeah

Dog man, dog man, wag that cape, woah-oh (woof)

Dog man, dog man, light it up, go-go (hey)

Bark-laugh, ba-ba-bark, run the night (run the night)

Dog man, dog man, everything’s alright

Verse

He disarms the gloom with a sloppy grin,

Finds the lost socks, brings the sun back in.

Neighbors wave, kids point up to the sky,

He howls a tune and the moon starts to sigh.

Pre-chorus

Pocket flashlight, collar shining bright,

He sniffs out courage in the thick of the night.

Skates on the rooftop, heart on a string,

Every little trouble suddenly wants to sing.

Bridge

Silly paws making giant plans (giant plans),

Jumping fences, shaking hands (shake it, shake it),

When trouble growls he says, "Not today," (not today),

Flip the script, chase the dark away — hey!

Chorus

Dog man, dog man, wag that cape, woah-oh (woof)

Dog man, dog man, light it up, go-go (hey)

Bark-laugh, ba-ba-bark, run the night (run the night)
