Glory To God In The Highest

Verse

O, how I wish to sing these words

Like the melodies of old

A song that ceases not to age

As the silver years unfold

It’s the story of our Savior

Ever living, ever true

In the hearts of all who know Him

Making all things new

Chorus

Glory to God in the highest!

For the Light of the world has come

And those who walked in darkness

Now behold the Rising Sun

The Kingdom is among us

Let the earth hear the sound:

Jesus is Lord, our living hope

Where grace and peace abound

Verse

The tidings shook the angel realms

And reached the world of men

That God would leave His holy throne

To dwell with us again

The shepherds heard the anthem

On the hills where they did lie

And the joy became a steady lamp

Beneath the midnight sky

Verse

They found Him in a manger-bed

A home just like their own

The Messiah chose the lowly

Not a palace or a throne

Now He’s reclaiming every nation

As we wait for His return

For the newness of the Heavens

And the Earth for which we yearn

Bridge

Proclaim it loud to all the earth!

Proclaim it loud for all to hear!

The King is here, the King is here!

Chorus

Glory to God in the highest!

For the Light of the world has come

And those who walked in darkness

Now behold the Rising Sun

The Kingdom is among us

Let the earth hear the sound:

Jesus is Lord, our living hope

Where grace and peace abound

Outro

He reigns forever...

Our living hope reigns forever.

Jesus is Lord.
