Jump Up, Get Down

Verse

Gather 'round, cats, the party’s begun

I came to jive, not to sit and shun

Step aside, daddy-o, I’m takin’ the floor

When I swing this mic, you’ll beg for more

Pre-chorus

I got the groove, the moves, the brass

I’m the hep cat king of the jumpin’ class

So lace your shoes and tip your hat

We’re gonna swing this joint, imagine that

Chorus

Jump up, jump up, and get down

Jump up, jump up, and get down

Jump up, jump up, and get down

Everybody swing now — jump, jump, jump!

Bridge

I’m the high-stepper, mic-checker, rhythm wrecker

Got the crowd in a frenzy, I’m the toe-tapper’s Mecca

Don’t stand still, don’t be square

We’re swingin’ wild, like we just don’t care

Chorus

Jump up, jump up, and get down

Jump up, jump up, and get down

Jump up, jump up, and get down

Swing it, bop it, jump around!
