I awoke on Tuesday morning and the sun refused to shine I couldn't tell what was happening I couldn't clear my mind but I got my coat and shoes on I was heading off to work as I went out through the door my thoughts took me back to church And I remembered the preacher calling my heart burnin' deep within I knew that God was speaking calling me to life with Him but I'd just dug my nails in deeper into the pew in front of me though my spirit cried for mercy my mind would not set me free Chorus And God's Spirit's been a calling, calling to me night and day and now that He has returned it's too late to start to pray For the angel blew the trumpet and the sun no longer shines I always thought that I would have more time to change my mind.
